Ricky began his running career in high school where he was the 2003 Maryland State Champion in Cross Country. He continued running in college at Lynchburg College from 2005-2010 where he earned both his B.A. in Business Management and Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A).  While at Lynchburg College, Ricky ran year round for cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track.  After graduating from undergrad in 2009, he began his professional running career, which Ricky continues today.  He is currently balancing his professional running career with the pursuit of obtaining his Professional Triathlete license.  Ricky currently lives in Greenville, SC where he works for the Greenville Health System (GHS) as a medical appliance technician.

  • 7-time All-American (Cross Country, Indoor Track (5,000 meters) and Outdoor – Track (5,000 meters and 10,000 meters)
  • 2009 DIII XC National Champion
  • 2009 DIII National Athlete of the Year
  • 18-time All-conference runner (ODAC)
  • 7-time Conference Runner of the Year (ODAC)
  • 2-time Olympic Trials Qualifier – Marathon (2012 and 2016)
  • 12th place at 2012 Olympic Trials Marathon (Debut Marathon)
  • Multiple wins in road races ranging in distances from 5k to Half Marathon

Multisport Accomplishments:

  • Winner at the 2012 Giant Acorn International Triathlon
  • Winner at the 2016 Clemson Triathlon
  • 3rd place finish at 2016 Tri the Swamp Rabbit Triathlon
  • 2nd age group at 2016 Raleigh 70.3 (22nd overall)
